Christian Do Gooders

Why is it that when one learns of imminent death, by the way I prefer it said as transition, that all Christians collectively want to send some one to save that person?

How haughty and presumptuous of them. What makes them automatically think that person hasn't already been saved? How dare they send immediate negativity in our direction.

What happened to Christian love? ministry? mercy, spirituality? Where did it go?

I am pondering this phenomenon.

I love you! I am so proud of you and your sister. I have read your blog and do not see anger or venting. What I do see is love and hurt over losing her. I see the grace you displaying in this experience. Everyone who reads this record of your travels will be blessed by it. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of this experience. I am, and always will be, your friend.

Christian love is in YOUR room exemplified by two sisters. You are following the Christ of love, ministry, mercy and spirituality. Although there is no need to tell those who would "save" you, you know "how we should then live" (Francis Shaffer), and they do not. Dear God, look no further than your home for the qualities Jesus gave for us to follow. Always thinking of you and your sister.

Dear Winter, how wonderful it is that God is neither presumptuous or haughty. He is love and grace and looks not at our "behavior" but at our hearts. He knows what we have done in our hearts about the sacrifice of His Son. He loves you and your sister and all of mankind with a sacrificial love that is impossible to comprehend with our minds and our words. May He gently guide your sister to her eternal home, all the while holding you closely to His heart, close enough that you can hear His heart beat for you. I continue to keep you in prayer.
